You all know about that chinese child who got overrun by a car and those people who saw her and didn't try to help her.
One reason that they didn't try to get involved is that there are many cases where someone acts like he is injured and when you try to help him, he will sue you and claim that you have hurt him. I really enjoy teaching. I am still trying to figure out how to get the students to understand - if it is not your's, don't touch.
Textbooks taught me how to distinguish right from wrong, but life taught me the other way around. I do right things that make people laugh at me or blame me, wrong stuff make others feel i'm sophisticated and smart. it seems like holding on to what you believe and going after what you want is just...naive and stupid. I was told you have to be picked by society before you earn the right to pick what you want from the society.
