HBV infection is very common here in China. it is associated with life long chronic liver damage and sinificant increase in the risk of getting liver cancer. so get your blood tested for HBV anti-bodies. if you have no immunity against it , get 3 shots of HBV vaccine.

Not meant to discourage you guys, just want to show you that it's possible.  In only 3 months, Benny the Irish Polygot learned passable Mandarin to have a decent conversation with John Pasden of Chinese-Pod.  Pretty impressive I think.
