chinese star signs are different to western star signs ...... how do they figure out chinese star signs and are they the same for all asian countries or just in china?

Western have star signs, and it's in solar calendar; But it's different in China, it's up to the lunar birthday...

1月6日-2月3日.........玄枵 xuán xiáo
2月4日-3月5日.........娵訾 jū zī
3月6日-4月4日.........降娄 jiànɡ lóu
4月5日-5月5日.........大梁 dà liánɡ
5月6日-6月5日.........实沉 shí chén
6月6日-7月6日.........鹑首 chún shǒu
7月7日-8月7日.........鹑火 chún huǒ
8月8日-9月7日.........鹑尾chún wěi
9月8日-10月7日.......寿星 shòu xīng
10月8日-11月8日.....大火 dà huǒ
11月9日-12月6日.....析木 qi mu

actually chinese astrology (and western) is really, really complicated if you go deep into it

it's the year, the month, the day, the hour wich you were born

and that all correlates with the 5 phases(elements) and the earthlybranches and celestial stems

 

when all is taken into consideration, you have a pretty much accurate picture of the person's personality

just like in western when you look up for the moon, the planets, elements etc

 

very fascinating stuff, but very hard to learn...

 

i'm a dog (forget all the rest =P) 

and I'm cancer with moon in Aquarius (and i don't remember the rest either hahaha)
